An Independent Publishing Initiative
Ephilo International Publishing is an independent multilingual publishing house founded by philosopher, author and translator Dr Ioannis S. Christodoulou.
Philosophy, Literature and Education
Ephilo publishes carefully edited works of philosophy, literature, poetry, theatre, education and reflective prose. Its catalogue brings original Greek writing into dialogue with an international readership through high-quality translations, while also preserving and renewing significant works in their original language.
Publishing Across Languages
Editions are developed in English, Greek, Spanish, Italian, German, French and other languages, and are presented in digital and print formats — with selected titles also planned as print-on-demand editions fulfilled through specialist international production partners. Theoria is Ephilo's imprint for philosophy, ideas and scholarly or reflective works.
Theoria and the School of Calm Thought
Ephilo International Publishing is also associated with the School of Calm Thought, an intellectual and educational initiative devoted to philosophical reflection, critical thought, self-knowledge and the cultivation of a calmer relationship with life. Through its multilingual programme, Ephilo seeks to make philosophically serious and literarily distinctive writing accessible to readers across languages and cultures.
